Ella Eve Niña Fernandez was born on December 19, 2012 at 8:43 am…she was 5 lbs. 13 oz. She came early, 6 days before Christmas. The best Christmas gift we have ever received.
The Divine has blessed us with our 2nd child. When medical doctors told me 3 years ago that I could not conceive naturally, I looked at alternative medicine & wellness. Science and conventional medicine cannot explain how I got pregnant.
2012 was a very busy yet very dramatic year. I was focused on developing my holistic health & wellness business, Wellness-Spring. And of course, I was applying holistic wellness in my own lifestyle….
In September 2011, I tried acupuncture for the first time because I was experiencing a lot of pain after my period ended. I’ve been experiencing this problem for several years, and it was really affecting me. I was getting very frustrated because it was so painful and I could not function. I would be on the floor in so much pain. I didn’t know what to do. My OB GYN could not explain why it was happening…so I took the matter into my own hands. I tried Acupuncture plus Traditional Chinese Medicine (herbs) to help with my pain and it worked wonders for me. I love my acupuncturist.
Since September 2011, I was also working out more – I walked 4 times a week, did weights 3 times a week, and I incorporated the Blood Type Diet in my lifestyle.
In December 2011, I did meditation for the first time with Deepak Chopra’s 21-day meditation challenge…that was life-changing because I didn’t know how to relax. My mind was always busy, always thinking, always analyzing. Anyway, meditating forced me to quiet the mind.
In January 2012, I tried Yoga for the first time. That same month, I tried Reiki Healing with Tina Landrum…that was truly amazing and shocking because I didn’t know what to expect! In February 2012, I also utilized crystals to balance my 7 Chakras. In March 2012, I tried Hypnotherapy with Maile Gray. WOW! On top of that, I was also getting deep tissue massages every 3 weeks by my favorite masseuse. My upper back is always very tense…
I started feeling queasy and nauseous by the middle of May 2012. I was actually pregnant, but I was in denial. I took the home pregnancy test 3x within a 3-week span (from the end of May to mid-June)…of course, it was positive. I was happy but I could not believe it! And then, I saw the ultrasound when I was 11 weeks pregnant – and I know it was official! We have been blessed!
