Grape seed oil is processed by cold-pressing grape seeds after the grape has been used to make wine. Grape seeds are extremely rich in antioxidants and vitamins. Many people haven’t heard of grape seed oil. However, there are numerous benefits of using grape seed oil in your daily routine.

Promotes Heart Health
Grape seed oil promotes heart health by increasing good cholesterol levels. It reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and strokes since it prevents abnormal blood clotting.

Helps in the Treatment of Diabetes
Diabetes mellitus patients can benefit from the use of grape seed oil. It helps delay the absorption of carbohydrates which reduces the risk of high glucose levels after meals. Proanthocyanidin, a compound found in grape seed oil, helps control blood sugar and reduces sugar spikes.

Boosts the Immune System
Grape seed oil boosts immunity. Regular use of grape seed oil protects the body from viruses and infections. Proanthocyanidin in grape seed oil helps with the production of glutathione, an antioxidant that strengthens the immune system.

Grapeseed Oil for the Face, Skin & Hair
Grape seeds contain resveratrol, a powerful polyphenol (an anti-oxidant) that has been linked to cancer prevention and has been proven to help slow down the process of aging.

Grape seed oil is known for its light, nutrient-rich composition, and is ideal for all skin types. It nourishes the skin and fights free radical damage. It contains a high amount of linoleic acid, a fatty acid which is beneficial for oily skin. Since it is a natural anti-inflammatory, grape seed oil can help clear acne.

Grape seed can be found in some skin and body care products like soaps, shampoos, conditioners, cosmetics, moisturizers and lotions.

Wellness-Spring, the holistic health store of The Wellness Institute, offers organic skincare products made with red grape seeds, a natural byproduct of the wine making process.
